Is there anything that could be done to disable seti@home? In order to stop the program from running for a particular time but has the option of restarting it after that particular time.

Hope my explanation is simple enough to be understood.

You only want to run it on specific days and specific times?
That can be done through BOINC Manager->Advanced view->Advanced->Preferences->processor usage->Day-of-the-week override.

Just check the day(s) it should run and fill in the time from which it should run until the time it should stop.

For instance, you only want it to start Wednesday , so check Wednesday.
You want it to end on Thursday, so check Thursday as well.
Then you only want it to run from 10pm on Wednesday until 8am Thursday.

So for Wednesday you fill in: 22:00-23:59
For Thursday you fill in: 00:00-08:00

Click OK and then it'll only run on Wednesday and Thursday during those times.
You can do the same for the Network settings.

This can be done in the local Boinc preferences.

If using the simple GUI you can tell Boinc to do work only between certain hours everyday.

In the Advanced View - Advanced menu - Preferences - Processor usage tab, you have the additional option to set Boinc to do work for any day of the week.
Hold the cursor over the input box for the format to use.

EDIT: @Ageless.... stop beating me to the post :)
Especially if you are going to give a more complete answer.

Sorry. I will first check if you're around and typing slowly the next time. :-D
