I keep getting "Message from server: no work sent". I have rebooted, I have reset project, detached from project and reattached, even reinstalled BOINC. The best that happens is after reattaching I get one new task and then back to no work. Other project is running normal. I don't see anything in the messages to indicate what the problem is. I keep getting "Message from server: no work sent". I have rebooted, I have reset project, detached from project and reattached, even reinstalled BOINC. The best that happens is after reattaching I get one new task and then back to no work. Other project is running normal. You have local preferences set on your machine and they have limited you to no space allowed for SETI as indicated by the 0.00 GB line I bolded. Click on the advanced menu and select preferences, then click on the disk and memory usage button and change the setting to something a little higher. Or you can just click the clear button and use the web site default selections. |

I don't know when this setting would have change or have been changed by me. Has been running normal for over a year now. I did resolve the problem but maybe not so delicately. I deleted the application and the Volume/Library/Application Support/Boinc Data folder and reinstalled then reattached to the project and unknowingly have a clean preference setting file. Oh well, back in production. Thanks, |

I have the same problem. I think it's because the server thinks there's no space on our drives. I've changed my disk space and memory usage preferences without any luck. I have the same problem. I think it's because the server thinks there's no space on our drives. I've changed my disk space and memory usage preferences without any luck. What are your disk space settings? How many space is free on your system? Thu Dec 11 23:38:52 2008||Reading preferences override file 740 MB should be enough for SETI, but obviously the client has another opinion. Could you try to raise the limit above 1 GB?
