First up I apologise if this has been done before - there seem to have been a couple of threads that touch on it. Still, I can't find a direct answer to what might be going on so would appreciate any replies helping out!

New members have been contacting me indicating they can't find a 'join/signup to this team' link.

This link is not present whether or not they are logged into their account at SETI@home. I've logged out of my own account and visited our team page and it's definitely not there then.

I've also confirmed that the "allow new signups" in my admin toolbox is checked.

Is there a new place to sign up from, or am I missing something obvious here?

Cheers
N.

I don't know where those members are looking, but the link is definitely there on your team page. You can't see it because you're already a member. If these prospective new members are already members of other teams, they have to leave their current teams before they will see the join link for your team.

To confirm:

The link is there. I just joined your team to prove it.

...and now I'm going to quit your team. Sorry. :P

You have to be logged in with a valid S@H account. However, that account cannot already be a memeber of that team.

Just in case there's still any doubt, you can see here how the page appears to me, as a non-member of your team. You'll notice the link just to the right of my cursor.

Thanks very much for all the replies.

I'll check back with the relevant people who have contacted me and confirm they're a) properly logged in and b) have ensured they're not a member of another team.

You can be a member of another team, just not a member of the team that you are looking at.
