My PC has two processors, and I an unable to get it to run more than 1 project at a time, although it will happily run 2 tasks from a single project. I am running XP Win32. Is BOINC incapable, or is it just my inability to drive BOINC? Looking at some other threads it seems as if the answer is the former, but thought I'd check.

Assuming that the answer is that BOINC is incapable, is it something I should add to the wishlist, or is there an architectural reason why it will not be able to be modified?

What are your project resource share setting. Boinc has no problem running multiple projects and assigning a CPU to whichever project has work available in proportion to the resource share I assign to each project.

Normally I run CPDN=60 S@H=120 but recently I set them to 60 each to see if it made a difference. The other complicating fctor is that just at the moment BOINC got a little enthusiastic in the number of S@H workunits it downloaded, and now is running 2 S@H concurrently in "high proirity" to get through the work.

What version of BOINC? The CPU scheduler has changed, and the most recent version has a bug fixed where it would run every CPU for the project with the highest Short Term Debt. (positive debt means that the project is owed CPU time).

6.2.18 already had that fix in place.
