The UPLOAD part of the SETI@home software doesn't appear to talk to the DOWNLOAD side. My G4 PowerBook 1GHz is running setiathome_4.02_powerpc-apple-darwin with the recently-downloaded 4.09 Boinc software. The following terminal log shows that the UPLOAD side had deferred comms because it couldn't connect. A minute or so later, the DOWNLOAD side was able to connect and download 3 new WU, but didn't attempt to upload the completed WU.

Thanks,
C

This is the wrong forum, you need to ask it in the Mac forums......
My name is Pascal and this message has no meaning, but still has my approval...

It is 10 oclock, do you know what your WUWUs are doing tonight...

Hi There,

The answer is simple and not MAC specific. On the Seti-Site there are serval servers and
not all of the are running always for one reason or the other. Therefore you might get a
download, but a uplaod or visa versa or even no communaction at all. You just have to
wait untill the appropriate servers are running. You can check the server statuses on the
steti-boinc site.
