Somehow, even though I'm set to "English" as my language of choice, when I came to the "technical news" page, all my headers turned to Spanish!

Sorry, this is actually a Firefox problem...

Not true, IE6 has issues also! See my post at Questions and Answers : Web site.

Gruß,
Gundolf

I am! I copied the link to my post from my account page.

I even just checked the behaviour on the homepage again: still mixed-up language of links on German page and no effect of the language_select.php.

BTW, the yellow line goes through the language link.

Gruß,
Gundolf

It can't be an exclusive Firefox problem because I've been using Firefox 3.0.3 since it came out and have not experienced this language setting issue everyone else has.

Not "everyone". I've never seen it on my IE7

For Firefox, at least, it makes a difference what languages you've selected in the Content tab of the tools/options...

For some reason, if you have "Spanish/Mexico" or "Italian/Italy" selected, you'll get Spanish (or Italian...) headers, EVEN IF that's not your first choice of lingos.

Something is apparently not honoring the FF "order of [language] precedence" in the website - something that changed fairly recently. (probably within a day b4 I posted the first notice about it, above!)

Once again, my Linux boxes are unable to download work that has been "promised". This happened earlier in this thread. Message 825584

Matt commented later in the thread.

As was the case then, all Windows boxes are downloading normally.
