Hello, I just started running seti again after a few years away. I had to open a new account because I couldn't find my old one. I have it running on a few pc's around the house but I am trying to get it to run on my PS3. Without having to install linux on the ps3 hd. I installed PS3Grid Live on thumb drive and it is working fine. I detached the PS3Grid project and added the Seti@Home project. I keep getting the communications deferred error saying platform powerpc64-ps3-linux-gnu not found. Is there anything I can do to get this to work. Is this because Seti@Home hasn't set up to work with cell processors yet, or am I missing something. If I can install boinc and the pc is able to do the work, why wouldn't seti@home accept it. Thanks for the help |

The platform not error say, that you have not installed the SETI application. You need to install it manualy. There is a SETI appplication and Astroupulse application available at my homepage http://www.dotsch.de/seti. I recomennd you to crunch astropulse with the PS3, because it's runs a lot of faster on the PS3 than the SETI Enhanched application. |
