It's a nice suggestion but it ain't gonna happen.
Many people have wondered why it's not done, the error-correction process has been analyzed to death, it'd be nice if we got a quick note, but it ain't gonna happen.
We've seen this pattern since the beginning. Planned outages get a note (that many don't read or even bother looking for). Significant unplanned outages get a note (but usually after a fair amount of downtime has already been incurred). Inisignificant outages don't get a note (usually they get a post-mortem mention in Matt's nearly-daily posting).
