Since no one even understands what I'm taking about, whats the point in continuing so I stop. All I wanted wa a little post on the front page about whats wrong and when it's going to be fixed. And suddenly I'm some sort of warcriminal demandig the impossible.
Many people have wondered why it's not done, the error-correction process has been analyzed to death, it'd be nice if we got a quick note, but it ain't gonna happen.
We've seen this pattern since the beginning. Planned outages get a note (that many don't read or even bother looking for). Significant unplanned outages get a note (but usually after a fair amount of downtime has already been incurred). Inisignificant outages don't get a note (usually they get a post-mortem mention in Matt's nearly-daily posting).
