Low disk space again?
Ready to Send buffer is down to 0, but the splitters are still just idling along.

And on top of that, the Penny just managed to get a few new WUs......
And is crunching them in 7.7 minutes............no wonder nothing can keep up........

Actually, the Frozen Penny kitten feeds on a custom freon blend in the compressor unit.....LOL.

But right now, it seems that comms with the servers are all boogered up......probably due to backlogged traffic, 'cuz the Cricket Graph shows the traffic is at a very high sustained level.....

I am having trouble getting both uploads/downloads and reporting results through at the moment.......

And as usual nothing on the front page about what is wrong. Guess it takes a whole minute to write something there.

Well, you have to understand that the boyz are not always available 24/7.....and they might be busy doing other things when problems arise.....

And, there might not be a real problem at this time other than the high traffic caused by a lot of hosts trying to contact the servers after the longer than usual outage for OS upgrading today........

I have hope that it will clear up before morning......a few things are getting through. One of my rigs got through a few minutes ago......another has not been able to report results for many hours......

It will sort itself, or they will sort it tomorrow.......the crunching goes on.....

I'm sorry but I don't buy that. There is never anything on the front page. Mabye the day after the problem is fixed, they write something. I'm pretty shure they can put something there remote if they wanted to.

Most of my uploads have gone thru, just a few waiting to upload...

That'll teach Bruno to have a day off! He gets hammered when he dares to show his face again! LOL!

Pending does seem to be holding about 3,700, which is fairly stable and average at the moment.

regards, Gizbar.

It's the total lack of information during the time there is some problem that annoys me. They just don't care if we now what is wrong or not. It never is any information to be found, just a lot of speculation.

It goes back to lack of money and staff, So they do what they can.

Well......
I am not belittling your frustration......
I would love 24/7 uptime with unlimited bandwidth too.....and get a little frustrated when my best cruncher has 127 completed WUs to report and cannot get through so I can see the results. But I have been through this so many times before and now realize it is just all part of the project and what it takes to keep it running at all on the shoestring budget and limited personnel they have.......

Try bookmarking and keeping an eye on both the Cricket Graph and the Scarecrow Graphs.....
After you know what they usually are reporting, you will be able to see some indications when things are not working right, even if there is no front page news or technical news reported here at the time..........and also read Matt's posts in the technical news forum.......he very often gives information about troubles they are having that do not have to be updated hourly......

And the Frozen Penny just got through finally and was able to report 130 completed WUs......so things are still getting through...........just take a little patience......LOL.

So not spending 1 minute writing something on the front page is because of lack of funding? I'm sorry but I don't buy that.

in the same page is server status, it is easier just check from there if something is wrong, no need to write anything

Any time the servers are off, including Tues maintenance period, check cricket graphs then assume comms are going to be difficult for the next 1.5 to 2 times that off period.

i.e. dont expect it to get back to normal before 09:00 Berkeley time Wednesday. If it's still kaput then hopefully someone will be arriving soon to give it some TLC or a quick kick with a size 11 boot, depending on mood, which will depend on road traffic behavior and supply of favorite beverage.

Yes I know how to check the server startus page. But that is not my point. My point is that none of the administrators bothers to spend 1 minute writing what is wronfg and when it is expected to be fixed. Is that asking to much?

i rather hope that they are fixing the problem as fast as possible, no coffee breaks nor wasted times writing that we don´t know yet when this is fixed, and no lunch hours neither
