Errr... Ouch?

Possible options:

'Borrow' someone's Windows rescue CD and use "repair" to repair your Windows install;

Or depending on how you've compressed your disk, try booting into another OS and uncompress whatever is compressed;

Or find a good computer friend;

Or use a computer shop...?

Good luck,
Martin

Hi, how did you compress BOINC, to or in what format?
Hope you did not zip/arj/cab/tar/targz/lzh/arc etc. it ?
Because that will not work, even the 'compression' used by WIN XP/VISTA, cannot be always used.
I can remember, along time ago, some DOS based programs could be compressed (*.exe), to save disk space, when opened/executed it was DEcompressed.
But Windows uses this still for some (big)DIRs .(X:\Windows\System32\dllcache &
DRVSTORE.
