I remember watching the 2004 DNC speach. I really loved that speach. I really thinks that is what he believes. I would like to believe it too. Maybe one day there will be no red states or blue states.

I think it more likely that there will be glow in the dark states before there are no red or blue states.

I must say that I am very disappointed with Obama. He is nothing that I hoped he would be. He seems as pro war as McSame. He now says he will support the Bush tax cuts for the rich. Obama or McSame. What a dismal set of options. I'm going for Ralph Nader. Neither Obama nor McSame will do anything for the economy other than try to line their own and their friends pockets with the working man's taxes.

Good call,

Too bad all presidential nominees don't get free air time. Ron Paul and Kucinich were the real change guys.

Where was Ron Paul at the Rep. Convention? They really locked him out. I would have loved to hear him rock that convention.

Me too,

He's the only politician who calls out the federal reserve on issues, too.

Maybe I'll vote for the Socialist Equality Party. If I can find them on the ballot that is.

Wasn't there an old blooper in the early radio days that recommended voting early and often....?

Presidential Candidate of what? Are you, by any chance, referring to a particular country or your local Lions Club?

Panta--maybe you don't catch international news in Finland much? Barack Obama is the Democratic candidate for President of the United States.

He had his own convention and got 10,000 people to buy tickets and participate.

You should check out his site, he is still active and trying to make a difference:

OK, thanks! I just wonder why the thread is not called U.S. of A. Presidential Candidate Comparisons. Here in Europe we don't necessarily always follow the happenings of small powers to that level of detail.

Do you know who is the President of the European Union, the largest economic power in the world?

There is no such person as a European Constitution yet does not exist. The President of the Council of the European Union is today the French President Mr.Sarkozy and will hold this position until December 31 2008. The President for the first half of 2008 was the President of the Republic of Slovenia.
