Hello I have been running Boinc 4.09 gui on my pc for a few days.Seti@home was running ok on it.When I rebooted my pc I could not see the B for Boinc icon on my desktop. It had vanished.I clicked on it under my list of programmes to try and start it and it said the following"cannot find shortcut as it has been removed or moved".I did not remove or move it.I cannot find Boinc gui anywhere.I clicked on my Boinc folder and could not see it there either.I saw one thing called Boinc cli exe and clicked on it.It started up and it looks like this programme is running my seti@home wu's where the gui thing left off.I guess it is doing the same thing, processing my wu's as it says it is when I click control, alt, delete. The thing is I cannot see how far my wu's have got or what my credit is or any info like the gui thing. What should I do?Delete everything and download 4.09 again?I do not understand what happened?Any help would be great.I do not undesrstand where the gui thing went?I do not want to loose and delete my current wu's and the wu's I have finished either. Thanks Rach ps I am running Windows Xp Pro(2nd edition) on a Dell 2.8ghz with ht and pentuim 4 procesors and 800 mhz motherboard with 80 gb hard drive and 520 ram and was running 2 wu's at once. ......In Space No One Can Hear You Scream...... |

your pc is to fast. way1 redo the boinc client installation, the shortcuts will be re-created. Projects will keep attached. no works is lost. (normaly) be aware to reinstall it into the same boinc folder/directory way2 create a shortcut yourshelf to the file: yourdrive:\\where_the_Client_isboinc_gui.exe |
