Hi,
I have noticed some differences on how some user settings are displayed when I click on a user name:
1. When I click on a username of a participant of this board for instance, in most cases I can see in what projects they are participating, under "Projects in which <user> is participating". When you click on MY name, you can see no projects in which I am participating. How can I change that?
2. When I click on a user name and then click on View, I can see a column named Rank. When you click on MY user name and then on View, there is no Rank column. Instead there is a Name column (showing my computer name) and a Location column, which says Home (that could be something I have set in my account preferences). How can get the Rank column and delete the other two columns?
3. When I click on a user name and then click on View and then click on the number in the column called Computer ID, I can see a field named Owner and some computer information. When you click on MY user name and then on View and then on the number, there is no such field. Instead there is link called IP (showing my IP address), a Domain Name field and a Name field (showing my computer name). How can get only the Owner field and delete the IP, Domain Name and Name field? Where can I set these preferences?
Thanks!

If you participate with the same computer(s) in different projects, make sure to attach the computer(s) to the account using the same email address all over the place. The email address is the unique identifier.

You can't. This rank is to easily see how many computers a person has. Else you'd have to count them by hand.
You only have one computer so your rank is 1.

You can't. But you can't see this information from another person either.
You can only see the computer ID of a person, if he didn't hide his computers who the owner of the computer is and some general information.
As the owner of the computer you will always see the detailed information.

I participate with SETI@Home and Astropulse. You don't need to have more than one computer (checked that). Don't understand why the list doesn't show up.

Hmm, I logged out and then clicked on my user name. Now I got the rank column and not the other ones. It depends on wether I am logged in or not :)

Verified that as well. Logged out. Now only the Owner field, not the IP and other fields.

SETI@Home and AstroPulse are the same project. If you only belong to a single project and someone is looking at your profile, it is assumed that you belong to that project only.

Correct. Note that the term "rank" in this case does not mean the best computer is "ranked" number 1 and so on downward. Rank simply lists the computers in an ordered fashion. In reality, the computer ranked Number 1 is simply the latest computer to contact the project servers with the last rank as the computer with the oldest server contact time.

SETI@Home is a single project that has 2 applications - SETI and AstroPulse. The other projects listed under my account are completely separate, have separate web sites, and separate user accounts...

Ok, but I don't have any list under my account. That's why I assume that users with just one project don't have a list at all (I have verified that there are more users without a list). Only users with more than one project have them listed, right?

The list is of additioinal projects (i.e. not this one). So yes, if you are only attached to one project there will be no list.
[edit]
Let me repharase that slightly. If you have not received credit in some other project your project list will be empty as the list is generated from a third party site that downloads stats from a large fraction of the projects that exist and a user is only added to the stats export if credit has been granted.
