Hmmmmmmm........Short Time... bet a few of you never saw this one............ I differ from the poster's opinion that it beats 'Bullit' however....... "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

This is the best ever.......and no, I am not just jumping on........I made a 35mm loop of it when I was a rambunctious twit in high school in AV club......... Lalo's score just built the excitement until the first tire smoke............ The Bullit chase...... And the motor sounds......ohh la la........ Mopar had a way with input ant output that just had a unique sound...... Even my 145 mph Buick Grand Sport never sounded like that................ Or my'67 Pontiac 500+ drag motor....it was tuned to a 'T'...LOL. Natural intake........Rochester 4BBL........they did not use fuel injection at the time....... And as far as 'throttle on, throttle off' sounds go........that bit over the hills is just a hoot............they had to mod the chassis just to get them to make the first jump........ And BESIDES the fact that there is no way the Mustang could have caught up with the Charger after taking a digger......LOL........LOL.........it still makes for movie madness........... Thank you Richard for the clip....... Ain't she a babe?????? No anti babe threads were harmed in the composition of this post......... Ain't she a babe???? No anti kitty threads were harmed in the composition of this post.... Ain't she a kitten? No anti posting threads were harmed in the composition of this post...... Enough....... Great clip, Rich. This is the best ever.......and no, I am not just jumping on........I made a 35mm loop of it when I was a rambunctious twit in high school in AV club......... And besides..........LOL.......who ever had to double-clutch a street car?? I mean really....... I ran some pretty tough stuff on the street, and you still didn't have to go.......meeeeeeeeeeeeeeow-coff-coff-meeeeeeeeeeeowwwwwwww to change gears......LOL. I ran a '69 Buick Grand Sport 400 (not stock) that would take the front tyres offa the pavement....I mean a wheel stander.......'bout the only thing that WAS stock was the transmission....aluminum case rock crusher....Hurst T shifter on the boards, and I won a lotta money in high school racing from 0-60 on bets that I didn't have to use the clutch at all.......just hit the shift points right and it clicked right into gear at full power....fresh synchros and all.......so don't give me any guff 'bout meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeowwww-vroom vroom-meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeow....LOL. Ever tune the metering rods in a Quadrajet??? LOL. 'Couse I 'spose you young pups wouldn't know much 'bout metering rod or accelerator pumps.......what with all that fuel injection these days...... But.....I could tell you another story 'bout my daddy's 60 sumpthin' Pontiac Starfire.........big block.......one of the first Detroit inventions with Rochester Fuel Injection...... A real stormer.....but he finally had to get rid of it 'cuz there wasn't a mechanic in town that could give it a proper tune up........shall I continue? Been there, vroom vroom. And it was a fun ride........ever twist the drive shaft off in a Buick? I did.......can you say torque...baby...? The 455 Buick had it......in spades.......just could not keep than back rod from blowing the bearing under full load and full rpm......(of course, my definition of 'full rpm' was a little different the Detroit's was)......they never saw me coming..... But that modified 400 in my Grand Sport would do 7000 rpm........wowza..... Had to modify the Q jet so it would feed it right...... But there was just a gut-wonderful feeling when you stomped on a 455........ I should stop now........let me know if you want another old hot rodder story or two.......(smiles)......... Can you say......Christine??? How can you kill something that can't possibly be alive? LOL. Any hot rodders left here? I still got a 350 factory short block that's waiting for the proper mods....a Buick.....not a Chevy.............a litttle rust in some cylinders, but not too much.......still got the factory goo on the block...... (Did I say mods........)......maybe to a good home........ But it did make for a good sound track....LOL. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

How about them Blues Brothers. "Lotta space in this mall..." FYI...I had the Q-Jet on my 1976 Olds Toronado tuned just right to open the secondaries just off the line. Big old 455 smoking the FRONT tires really got people's attention... Clk2HlpSetiCty:::PayIt4ward |

For me it's the car chase in Matrix Reloaded. Trinity: You told me never to get on the freeway. You said it was suicide. Universe is not an awful waste of space. |

How about them Blues Brothers. There are so many mistakes of continuity and factual errors in that movie somve very obvious some not: Link to known goofs Continuity: In the mall, Elwood notes that the "new Oldsmobiles are in early this year." The poster says 1980 Olds. New models normally came out in the fall preceding the model year - this would make the date sometime at least as early as fall 1979. Later the Clarion Records exec. says he was a bouncer at the Palace "back in the 70s" indicating that the current date is sometime in the 1980s. |

Lots of good car chases posted here. I like many in films, including "Bullet", "The French Connection" (The car vs. train chase), "Diamonds are Forever", and a few more I am sure. But the one I have to vote for is the often forgotten car chase scene from "The 7-Ups". Take a look and tell me what you think :) Steve Pomeroy Master of math magic and math tricks. |

Ok, maybe the men are smarter today. I am trying to find the chase scene in Running Scared with Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines, chasing Jimmy Smits. So she is humbly asking for help. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

Where can I get a 2 door Pontiac Lemans that roars like that????? Or even the Bonneville.........LOL. 'S funny........they never put that motor in the 2 door pooch..... I had a '67 wagon with a 230 overhead cam motor in it........it rocked, but you never got that throttle sound out of it........... "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |
