According to the Astopulse FAQ, participants will get the ability to choose Seti@home or Astropulse in the near future. Better still would be user ability to direct Astropulse to the faster computer(s) while Seti@home is directed to the slower machine{s}.

According to that same AstroPulse FAQ, the only machines that are supposed to receive it (minus a few errors that have happened) are machines faster than 1.6GHz with at least 256MB of RAM and 128MB of disk space.

One can go into their Seti@Home Preferences and choose what they'd like to run.

Run only the selected applications

SETI@home Enhanced
Astropulse

If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?

LOL, what if you checked both and you aren't getting work? What is the third secretly hidden application then? A whole other project? ;-)

I was wondering if maybe someone could enlighten me a little. I understand how to and have both boxes selected for the SETI@home Enhanced & Astropulse in my account manager and I have set up my preferences for Seti. My PC exceeds the minimum requirements needed to run Astropulse, my question is why in the past 60 days, I've only had two Astropulse workunits downloaded and successfully crunched, why do I have to wait so long to acquire more Astropulse work units?

AP workunits are much larger than SETI workunits, and thus take up considerably more space on the servers. Due to the recent server problems, creation of AP workunits have been ramped down to a level that should keep the servers from filling up their very limited disk space.
