I notice that we now have the option of selecting which type of WU we desire to process. (AstroPulse, Enhanced. or both.) And I am wondering what option would be most beneficial from the standpoint of the science. I'm leaning toward AstroPulse only, since it is more intensive and probably needs more of the available processing power thrown at it. Also, I suspect that Enhanced will turn out to be more popular among seti@home members, due to its more convenient turnaround times. Plus there is the very real possibility of it finding new objects and phenomena.

Any thoughts on this?

It seems to me that Astropulse is much more likely to be beneficial in the long run since it has a better chance of resulting in confirmed detections of previously unknown/undiscovered astronimcal phenomena.

SETI@Home Enhanced is and always was a long shot at best since detection criteria is much more narrow. :(

Depends on which "the science" you want...

Astropulse:
there is the very real possibility of it finding new objects and phenomena.

Seti-Enhanced:
Answers the "Where is everyone?" question

Which is more important in a general "Can't get there right away unless it's Proxima Centauri?" kinda way?

(Seti, in my case.)
