I would rather use my larger secondary (slave) drive. It's MUCH larger than my primary. Is that possible?

You can install pretty much where you want. You just need to change from the default locations during the install. Version 6 does guard against some locations such as root directory C:\ and data can no longer be in the Program files folder (for compatibility with Vista) but most any other locations can be used.

I've always installed Boinc to D:\BOINC with previous versions and with V6.x.x which requires a separate data folder, I told it to put the data to D:\BOINC DATA. It could just as well have been on different drives.

Late edit:
Since you have already installed Boinc and have work on hand, the best approach would be to exit Boinc (right click the Boinc icon in the tray next to the clock - exit. Uninstall Boinc. Locate the Boinc folders and move either or both to the desired locations. Reinstall Boinc making sure to point it to the new location(s). You shouldn't loose the work in progress.

The default install locations for v6 on Windows XP are
Boinc software is C:\Program Files\BOINC
Boinc data is C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\BOINC Data\

Boinc V7.2.42
Win7 i5 3.33G 4GB, GTX470
