Rag, Tag & Bobtail.
Andy Pandy. (I can still sing the song......Andy is waving Bye Bye!)
The Flower Pot Men. (Ello Lipop Weeb)
The Bumbly's. (and I'm the one that's not very bright, I'm Bumbly number 3)
The Cisco Kid.(with Pancho)
The Lone Ranger. (with Tonto)
The Range Rider. (with Dick West, the All American Boy!)
Zorro.
Flash Gordon (Returning to earth at the incredible speed of 3000 miles per hour...DUUH)

..and I know an Ex-B.T. (GPO) chap who also remembers those B&W programmes!!

Chris, what was the name of the programme hosted by Shirley Abicair with her Zither?

My favourite comic...The Eagle. I couldn't wait to read of the latest adventures of Dan Dare and Digby.

For years I had a copy of the first issue of a comic called "Buster" Dunno what happened to it but I wish I still had it. I would E-Bay it!

Anyone else remember the "Beano" and the "Dandy" ??

The Bash Street Gang, The Bushwacker?

Torchy, Torchy the battery boy
I'm a walky, talky toy
Press my switch, see my bulb start to gleam
It's the most magic light
You have seen
Torchy, Torchy (fade)

Anyone else remember the tune ?

Maybe I should get a life....

Brodo

Edit.. I remember Buster too, subscribed to it for years. Remember Crazy Horse, Warlord of the Sioux ?

I am not sure, but one of the first good and outstanding tv serials I can remember and that have something in common with you (English speaking world) is
"Roots", of author Alex Haley. If I named some spanish made serials, you wouldnt know anything to do with it, I guess.
AriZonaMoon, maybe you can try to translate some of your poem/song you wrote in Norsk!!! I have no idea of Norwegian....sorry! :-(
Maybe this helps: Skal, tusen tak!!!
Cheers!

My God Brodo, you're as old as I am. LOL.

I will plead the fact that TV didn't start in Oz until 1956, Some of the shows were nearly 10 years old before they went to air here (my story and I'm sticking to it <grin>)

How about, Rin Tin Tin, Circus Boy, The Lawman, The Rifleman, Laramie and The Adventures of Wyatt Earp ?

Ahh memories, memories

All of the Irwin Allen stuff...
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea
Lost in Space
Time Tunnel

Green Hornet
Get Smart
Land of the Giants
UFO

...and I seem to remember owning a Fireball XL-5 lunchbox!

I wish I still did!

I loved the Irwin Allen shows. "Lost in Space" was a favorite (well at least the first season), and I also used to really like "Land of the Giants". I was also a big fan of "The Invaders" (Quinn Martin, not Irwin Allen) which my mom worried was rotting my brain with strange ideas about "outer space aliens". I guess not much has changed for me. :D

There was a show I liked in Germany and I think it came from Australia. The chicks had pink hair, with a funky haircut, that arched over the eyebrows and had a point above the nose.

Sorry I can't provide more detail, since this is all I remember. Any clues out there?
