That's a cool discovery Mr.M We have a lot to learn about the bodies in our own solar system. Its just painfully slow having to wait years between building the satellites to study these planets and moons, and the satellites getting there and doing the work. Its cool news. John. |

Yeah, but just think if it was instant. If we could learn it all in a fast manor where would the fun and excitement be in a new discovery? The long wait, in my opinion, adds to the excitement. Its a good point Mr.M Be nice to shorten that wait a small bit. We need some really cracking new propulsion systems, and a space elevator to get the stuff we build up into earth orbit. Then we will have fresh news from space 24/7 :) Johnney. |

Well... Just think about how many things are left there in the whole universe to be discovered while we are currently spending (roughly) a quarter of a lifetime (from the initial idea to the result) to just we have one thing done. Don't you think we could benefit more and advance faster by at least improving our propulsion systems to be able to go faster and further away? |

Oh, believe me, I'm not saying that I wouldn't like to see it go faster! I would love to be able to get to these places in just a few months or even days. I was just making an observation with that statement ;) |

I remember I was soooo disappointed when the Huygens probe landed on a solid ground. Many scientists hoped it would "water" land (methane land? ;)) and so was I. ;) "Failure is not an option."
