Just switched my work PC to BOINC and I'm getting the following error:

SETI@home - 2004-09-27 10:14:04 - Message from server: Invalid or missing account ID. Visit this project's web site to get an account ID.

I don't have the original email anymore that contained my account ID so I'm using the ID from the "your account" page. Can someone at SETI possibly send me the correct ID?

I am running BOINC from my home PC with no problem.

Thanks,
robert.e.farmer@us.army.mil

At the bottom of your account page click on "log off". Then logon to your account again. There will be an option to have your account ID sent to your e-mail address.

Once you get it print it out and file it where you will know where it is. Save it on your hard drive, back it up to a floppy/CD, tatoo it on your arm. It is your responsibility to keep that message. If your e-mail address changes and you don't keep it up to date in BOINC, there will be no way to get the ID again.

I make this statement because in SETI Classic there is an endless stream of people who don't have their password and no longer have access to the e-mail address of their account. They are out of luck.
