So i saw the nova special and wanted to help out and got everything up and running and its really cool, but my question is can i listen to the radio waves? even if it is static? not a thing is coming through just cool graphics. Are there preferancese im just missing?
let me know and again sorry for the newbie question

There is no sound for the science application, and one will not be provided by SETI@Home as the novelty effect would wear off for many users and wouldn't be worth the programming effort and added compatibility issues.

If you really want to hear something similar to the sounds of space, tune your radio to AM and move the dial in between stations. Nothing more than static like you assumed.
