Not feeling too bad. Cardiac-wise I'm still having some Arrythmia but nowhere near what it was a week or so ago.

I had some therapy done called Cranio-Sacral and it's come to my realization that my stress of the past few weeks was a primary cause of the issue.

Blurf I am glad to hear you are doing better. You still need to slow down a bit though. :)

Thanks! I know--I took tmrw off and have a half day Tuesday (8pm-midnight). Then I'm off next Monday for Labor Day. That's about all the time I can take off right now---still leaving 6 days I can use by the end of the year.

I know what you mean. It is hard when you have to work for someone else and harder still when you are working for yourself.

And now for all you art lovers, some disambiguation of this lovely illustration of the Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

It is NOT, as is commonly believed, drawn by Sir John Tenniel (his version is much more mundane). That worthy gentleman was the celebrated artist of several political caricatures in Punch magazine, including the iconic Dropping the Pilot. He later received a commission for painting the Upper Waiting Hall (known as the "Hall of Poets") in the House of Lords. One must suffer to become a great artist, and suffer he did. Tenniel was blinded in one eye while fencing with his father in 1840. So be not deceived, for provenance is so important in art.

Who are the extra teacups for? They are there for the shown participants, who changed seats after each riddle and poem recited by the Hatter "Willy Nilly" (no relation).

Why is the Hatter known as the "Mad Hatter"? Because the Cheshire Cat so explains him to be, to Alice.

The Hatter is generally believed to be based on Theophilus Carter, at one time a servitor at Christ Church, one of the University of Oxford's colleges. He invented an alarm clock bed, exhibited at the Great Exhibition of 1851, that tipped out the sleeper at waking-up time.

What does the "10/6" on the Hatter's top hat mean? It means "Ten pounds and six shillings" beneath the contraction of the words "In this style". It is an inscription of a paper bill for a top hat, the price for one. Further, "Mad Hatter Day" is the "second silly day" of the year (the first being "April Fool's Day") and is celebrated on 10/6 (October 6 in the United States; June 10 in Britain).

And now a question for all of you...What is the Hatter's answer to his riddle "Why is a raven like a writing desk?" Alice herself, no scholar I'm afraid, gave up and left the party.

Artfully submitted
