is there a way to get the account ID from inside boinc? instead of copying and pasting from the signup email or saving it in a cookie to log in?

It is available in the account_*.xml file for the project. I believe it is also available in the client_state.xml file. It would be called a validator, and all of these files are available in the BOINC directory.

Yeah, but I was thinking from inside the GUI..it would be faster to paste from a file on the desktop..
