Great shots Mark! Subscribed to the IV... an Unsubscribed to the III.

Would you be able to get a group shot of your 4?

Luke.

. . . Panasonic's Site for the Panasonic/Lumix DMC-FZ18K

. . . Panasonic's FAQs for Lumix Digital Cameras

. . . Panasonic's FAQs for Lumix Digital SLR Cameras

. . . you may find of Interest: the official Four Thirds System web site

> Note 1: Panorama Maker - comes w/ Camera Software package . . .

Automatically "stitch" separate photos together to create a single, wide panorama-like image

> Note 2: has a Non - standard thread size on the outer barrel - 55.8mm:

- Lens physically extends during zooming out. Therefore, if you want to attach a telephoto lens or wide angle lens, you have to use a special adapters which fits on

the outer 55.8 thread ring. Even with panasonic la3 adaptor, it will vignette at the wide end.

There is a 3rd party adaptor available which solves the problem. Lens retracts into the barrel when powered down, therefore if you fit a 46mm telephoto or wide angle

lens on the inner ring, if you accidentally power it down before taking the extra lens or filter out (and if the diameter of the extra lens is more than 46mm in the

main body), it will get stuck in the barrel potentially damaging the lens mechanism.

You need atleast around 6 mm extension from the 46mm inner thread to be safe . . .

i am attempting to find you the 'Firmware' Page Links too . . .

. . . mainly - have fun with your Camera

I'll commend you if you can get 4 in one shot. I can't even get my two in the same frame, they hate the camera.

Thanks Richard!, but one will always run off into another room, rendering a panorama defunct.

It was pure love at first sight...
Was just dropping in for a visit to the local shelter, 14 cats they had. And this one, just stared at me and he's like "Your mine, take me home". So I couldn't resist. Give a big round of applause to Orlando (aka Ollie...)

The shelter staff described him as very relaxed and doesn't mind being around other cats...

When I got home... Zazo and Sonar were like "What the hell is that". They aren't fighting or anything just sorta' staring at him in disbelief... lol.

I'll keep ya' updated!

Luke.

Wonderful Luke!!! I just luv an orange tabby. I am sure that Ollie says 'thank you' for saving him from the shelter. Thank you from my kitties too for giving him a new home.

Thanks Mark,
No fights yet, perhaps a few hisses from Zazo, Sonar doesn't seem to mind. Right now he's in the study room, I've given him lots of company, kibble, and water, and kitty litter. Also brought a new scratching post. Didn't get a wink of sleep though, he was up and about all last night, although I can't blame him, he still needs time to settle in. He also escaped from the study last night as well, and started wandering the house, hid under my bed as well... hopefully in a week or two things will come right.

A cats's, a cat a cat.

Also, apparently the "Kapiti" shelter (which is the next closest shelter to the Wellington one I visit) is out of cats! Which I suppose is really good news. So the Wellington Shelter is shifting a group of 6 up there.

Cya' all!

Luke.

Give them all time, and keep him apart from Zazo and Sonar for awhile if there seems to be too much tension...the last thing you want is for them to get into a fight early on...
Also make sure you give Zazo and Sonar enough attention too, it helps keep their jealousy of the new kitty down.
Don't be surprised if it takes a month or so for things to level out, it all depends on the kitties. Let them take it at their own pace.

And I am overjoyed to hear about a shelter out of cats!!!!
Wish we had some here in the states.......

Zazo's cooled down, Sonar is just sitting there. They're separated now. Just giving Zazo a rub under his neck. I just hope I get some sleep tonight... And that Ollie doesn't get the snuffles...

Here's the link to Orlando's adoption page at the shelter (funny, coz' it says on the webpage a 'quiet' home, the staff described him as a happy, boisterous cat who likes company & is fine with other cats)...
