Some of my WU's have expired, yet my BOINC client is still processing them, in order. Should I dump them or still let it finish processing?

BTW, did anyone notice their benchmark score went down after upgrading to the 4.09 client? I used to get 2680 Whetstones with the 4.05 client, but now I get only 2071 with the new 4.09 client...

Hi HammerD,
You need to reset your project, because you are crunching for no credit. Once they expire...their done. Make sure to set your prefrences down to "Connect every 2 or 3 days. That way you will keep WU's Current.

Thats true Heff, buts thats a Big If, myself I would just as soon reset the Project and not take the chance on crunching 2 or 3 or 4 days of worthless WU's...

@HammerD...Thats true about the v4.09 also, everybodys Benchmarks went down I would say 20% to 30% ...

But I've also noticed that my WU completion times haven't gone up much (not that I actually monitor it... maybe someone who does could give better info). So is this just to reduce the number of credits we recieve, or is there an actual reason for this?

Version 4.09 is still using the same client for processing. The faster time completions are most likely from a higher AR (angle range) work unit. I have had some recently that were higher ar's that completed in about 2:30 when my normal time is closer to 3:00 for a normal wu ar. They removed one of the compiler parameters that was causing benchmarks to show faster. This compiler parameter did not influence the processing time.

HammerD i hope you are still reading the forums. you have a system that really needs some atation as it is geting i would say over 95% client errors for its WU's

normaly i wouldnt really care as its your score its messing up but least 5 if not more of these failed WU are pending WU of mine also :P

HammerD, Which Core Client are you using??? if it's 4.18 or earlier, you can fix the Download errors, by getting 4.19 or higher

I wondered how all the other users got their messages posted so quickly, I should have looked at the dates. DOH You could try creating a thread with his name in the title. something like "HammerD your machine's broke".

If you click on his name it will bring up a group they are a part of. In the past I have sent an email, there is a link at the bottom of the group page, to group people and they have gotten in contact with their person to fix their computer. Some liked the set and forget features of Classic.
