When i run boinc seti the performance of the computer droping by like %60 whats that all about? could that be a boinc problem ? or is it somthing else? Ive got p4 1.6ghz 768 Sdram 133 Oh and when i run in console everything is alright (though its console so ofcourse performance will be alright :/) Thanks ahead ID: 762396 ·

Adding more RAM is a very good performance tuning task... Normaly the SETI application uses about 32 MB memory if your system has low memory installed and up to 70 MB if you have more then 512 MB installed. ID: 764038 ·
