Hi, i'm running slackware 12.1 With KDE 3.5.9(?)
When i run boinc seti the performance of the computer droping by like %60
whats that all about?
could that be a boinc problem ? or is it somthing else?

Ive got p4 1.6ghz 768 Sdram 133

Oh and when i run in console everything is alright (though its console so ofcourse performance will be alright :/)

well, its not 60%.. but still slower in a way you can see it

i mean when i run window its taking more ime to load
or a program
or anything
like i'm lacking of ram
but i'm not :\\

How many ram does the computer has installed ?
Adding more RAM is a very good performance tuning task...
Normaly the SETI application uses about 32 MB memory if your system has low memory installed and up to 70 MB if you have more then 512 MB installed.
