I'm having a really hard time locating anything of substance. All the pictures I'm finding are extremely degraded (block pixels) ... Perhaps that's the only thing available!

I have vague memories of Paul Bourke rendering a complete set of very detailed images of Mars that came to a phenominal resolution for nearly the entire planet.

There seems to be just a summary on his website now. Try searching there...
