This is the V8SS , it is a S5000VXN board with 2 Yorkfield prototypes 3.0Ghz that I demonstrated at computex.

here is the pic of the baby: here
(the machine, not me :) !

This was the last stage before the Skulltrail board.

I will not put a Nhm on SETI anytime soon, sorry :)

Hey Who? when will that tiger (chip) be out of the cage.

Possibly when that Tiger has been domesticated by Intel I'd think. ;)

Been reading some reveiws of the SKT motherboard and none of them think it is very good for over clocking and it's a total rip off, only for those who have money to waste.

Francois is it a case of the CPU's making up for the motherboards shortfall?

well, if 8 Cores at 4.0Ghz air cooled is not good, then, nothing I can do about it. :)

and if you read the opinion of the extreme overclockers, tbey are very happy of it: http://www.tomshardware.com/news/Skulltrail-6GHz-Overclocking,5208.html

do you call that a ripp off?

6.0Ghz 8 Cores ... the press you did read was just uncapable to unleashed the lions, so, they conclude it was not good. The real people doing OC, as I do are very happy of it. (Check the 3dMarkVantage OC list, I am in)

Look at my RAC, and how many computers i ran ... it says it all. (and my V8SS is not fully used, I do CPU simulation with it)

so, just one answer that those who are frustrated by not having a Skulltrail ... Yes ... it is just an other Lambo ... boring isn't it?

Don't let the PETA nuts find out the cat is possibly drinking wine(Good or not), They'll have a heart attack. Oh and I get to see how good that Q9300 M1 stepping really is soon, At least once I've got all the parts including an Asus P5K Deluxe motherboard(See My specs for more).

Ummm, Château Latour is located in Pauillac, on the Left Bank of the Gironde. That's in Bordeaux, Francois.

A good choice, nonetheless. Cheers!
