The show graphics button does not work when: 1. You have installed BOINC as a service. Use this workaround on that. 2. You have installed BOINC as a shared install and are running as another user, not the one that installed it. 3. Your video card does not support OpenGL, in this case update the drivers. (In Windows, the standard drivers on many video cards do not support OpenGL). 4. You're running an optimized Seti application without graphics capabilities for speed. |

Thanks for your response but still not having success - SEE RESPONSES TO YOUR SUGGESTIONS: The show graphics button does not work when: 1. You have installed BOINC as a service. Use this workaround on that. CHECKED THE WORK AROUND AND IT APPEARS THAT BOINC IS NOT INSTALLED AS A SERVICE. 2. You have installed BOINC as a shared install and are running as another user, not the one that installed it. I AM ONLY USER - ADMINISTRATOR 3. Your video card does not support OpenGL, in this case update the drivers. (In Windows, the standard drivers on many video cards do not support OpenGL). MY GRAPHICS CARD DOES APPEAR TO SUPPORT OPENGL - ATI RADEON HD3600 SERIES 4. You're running an optimized Seti application without graphics capabilities for speed. hi running seti It's not sufficient to select any task of the current project, you must click the running task! Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. (Kleiner Scherz) SETI@home classic workunits 3,758 SETI@home classic CPU time 66,520 hours |

ok working - i had my preference settings to: Suspend work while computer is in use? Yes. I was of the view that even with the setting as yes it would still activate graphics at my reqest - i am sure it used to work that way. Anyway it now does after changing to 'no' - thanks for the help.. |
