Hi, I have obtained up to 1223 credits now and the SETI@Home program is a success on my PC than it was before I placed 2 GB of RAM. But still what are the analysis results and where can I find them? Adam E. radio science observer |

http://www.bjoernhenke.de/frame.htm?/boinc.en.htm Download BonicLogX and SETI@Home Map View. The Map View will plot your results on a map of our perspective of the Milky Way Galaxy and denote the relative strength of any spikes, pulses, triplets, etc. While you'll be able to see how strong any gaussians, etc that you've detected are and the direction in which they're located, but you won't know immediately if any of them is "strong enough" to be considered a possible candidate signal from ET. You can see more about the total results and total number of individual radio sources detected by the SETI@Home project here: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/sci_status.html Just keeping your expectations realistic; note that 1,429,839 spikes were detected in just the last 24 hours. Also note that out of all the detected radio signals (over a billion), only 200 were deemed worthy of further scrutiny a few years ago, and even then, only ONE signal was redetected, and that one signal was deemed not to be a possible signal from ET. |

hello Taurus! Thanks for the great links! Am I safe in assuming that those are IBM/Windows applications? They sound really interesting, but I'm not entirely sure they'd be compatible with my computer. Just checking in advance... that would have worked if you hadn't stopped me |

Hmmm, well I'm guessing they were made with Windows in mind, but they may work for Mac OS or another platform as well... |
