Want to see the same images that scientists at NASA use for their research or perform your own research with those images? Or do you want to see the Earth from the same perspective that astronauts see as they descend to Earth? How about taking a 5 minute break and viewing a panorama of a different city? Install WWT and start your explorations.

That thing is incredible, and free!!. People might hate me for saying it, but i just love Microsoft!. What a cool company!

The software is amazing. It takes a while to get used to using it but i am getting the hang of it!

Its a bit like Google earth in the sense that the images are Hugh so as you float around the sky, the software downloads the current image being viewed.

Really cool stuff, i love it, thanks BentStar for the tip off!

John.

I just finished my review of it and I must say, I am quite impressed with the work that Microsoft has done. I still don't think that I would go as far as saying that I love Microsoft for it, but I am impressed by it.

Thanks for the tip BentStar
Yep, but most 'crunchers', mostly run, 1 XP version (or more)on their host's.
Otherwise it's a good way to try XP as it's less expensive as VISTA and performs well.
Maybe someone will 'port it to Linux e.a.' , ;^)(Somebody with a lot off free time), just joking .

And as Ice says, it's FREE , a nice surprice though.

Just downloaded the program and took a quick look, just love it

Even 'on top off the 100% crunching' it works smooth and beautifull.

Not on my primary machine, but it is the primary problem that I have with Microsoft. I personally like Vista. I have never had any problems with it, and I like this new program from microsoft!

I got it as well, and I run Vista Basic/Home Edition, this time without problems!!!
It is really amazing how it shows in detail the whole night sky and you never get lost because you can see at any time your position related to the Earth. It is like watching a planetarium session and the pictures attached as wallpapers on the celestial dome is digital XXI century art.
What I miss is Carl Sagan´s comments during the views...
Thanks for posting the link.

This WorldWide Telescope is very similar in many ways to Google Sky; http://www.google.com/sky/
