Seen the animation, looks obvious and why NOT use it.

You must have heard off tidal-energy converting.
In France, the Bay off the ' Mont St.Michelle' , a bay, between Cherbourg{Normandie) and Brest (Bretagne).
Difference between low and high tide is about 11 meters in height.
That is used to produce electricity.
The U.K. has a similar plant, i believe.

Hi folks, how are you doing?
First tidal power turbine gets plugged in
That´s good news for everybody: alternate self-sustaining energy resources make their debut and progress against oil related energies and products.
Cheers!

Hi! Wikipedia says it's already running http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wave_farm so people are using it and yes, it's a great thing! You always have current in a see/ocean so you don't have to rely on wind or Sun. :)
