If the moderators were " elected " by the users....then those choices would be made based on nothing more than a popularity contest.

Forgive me for sounding callous, but a lot of people would vote for someone based on whether or not the moves that moderator made would be in the voter's favor.

Over time we have had differences of opinion and somehow we are still both doing Seti. We have had private discussions where we have reached some kind of understanding. I respect that, I have respect for You and Your Opinions. You and I do not always have to agree.

I would guess that it the best that many could hope for. A way to reach some kind of understanding.

I haven't really told you my final answer on the subject because I haven't made up my mind, myself.

There are reasons I would consider...and reasons I really wouldn't want anything to do with it.

My answer would depend on which set of reasons would outweigh the other.
