so I'm new here.. I see that credits are just basicly a way to see how much 'work' you've done for the project. I really don't have a problem using my computers for good causes, is there any thing that can be credited back for the electrictly use? Tax break or something? I live in the US (IL) |

They do allow deductions for cash donations. [edit] In short, there is nothing you get back except for a good feeling for allowing your machines to crunch. BOINC WIKI |

I am returning after a couple of years away. I want to run Seti as my screensaver but all I get is the Boinc logo. Did I miss a prompt somewhere when I installed? |

I am returning after a couple of years away. I want to run Seti as my screensaver but all I get is the Boinc logo. Did I miss a prompt somewhere when I installed? Probably not. There are a couple of things will cause the screen saver not to show the graphics: A service install, and a pasword protected screen saver. As far as I am concerned, that pretty much does in the graphics. The good news is that these problems are fixed in V6 (not nearly ready for prime time). BOINC WIKI |
