Have gun, will travel says the card of a man.

A knight without armor in a savage land.

Paladin, paladin, where will you roam?

Where my muse takes me........
Unless I have a good offer.....LOL.

Nice quote, my dear......
From whence does it come?

TV show starring Richard Boone, Have Gun Will Travel, from 1957 but I remember seeing reruns when I was a kid.

Here's a link to a web site for the show's theme songs. The ones you want are 'Closing Theme' song and Ballad of Paladin.

Well to add a little more Tire Smoke, an Electric motor held the Drag Record for a bit. But then It has the potential to go much faster I've read.

http://www.thefang.co.uk/fours.htm
But It's not Shockin as It's a 4 banger, 5.89 here @ 243mph.

What's the upper or maybe that should be lower limit? Who knows....(No not our "Who?").

But I am not sure that even the best app to be had would quite get me there......

Maybe around 40k.......we will see what shakes out.....
Coming soon to a theater near you..........

Lol, OK everyone, I have already PM'd msattler about this, but as an added sweetener,

Dave

I was under the assumption that this is a public bidding ????

But since that time frame / rules are how set - Here is my bid on behalf of myself and SETI.USA. I can not speak for the team, but I will personally guarantee payment via PAYPAL,(or other means) and will send payment receipts if requested.

If I am the winning bidder:
1: A $400.00 1 time cash payment to SETI - Berkeley at the close of the auction.

2: and $110.00 per month for every month you crunch for our/my team, starting July 2008, to be paid at the end of each month on the 30th for crunching done for the previous 30 days.

3: Should I change teams (highly unlikely) your farm will follow me to my new team.

4: Should your RAC fall below 15,000 then the monthly installment drops to $100.00.
Below 10,000 then $75.00.
Below 5,000 - no payment.
If your RAC goes to 50,000 then the monthly installment will be increased to $120.00

5: After 12 months of continuous crunching either of us has the right to discontinue to continue the agreement. (including a provision for re-negotiation)

I have the right to increase this bid should I deem it necessary.

***** EDIT *** made a few minor changes.

*** addition *** One other item of business - I have a couple QX9650's with phase cooling that I am having difficulty overclocking past 4.3-4.5 - I would love some assistance to get them clocked to their highest and best potential..

I'll add $100 to your initial bid on behalf of Seti.USA. I would love to see the kitties be part of the team.

Adding $25 to the SetiUSA bid...not payable until May though due to the timing of when our bills come in. I'm tapped out for April

Like to keep this thread going. SETI does need some help and this is a great idea by 'msattler' to bring it to the attention of many. Any more BIDS.

Just as a matter of interest, vis-a-vis another thread ( unread Credits not transferring ) is it now right that the units you crunch for one team now stay with that team and do not transfer lock, stock and barrel when and if you move on?

Right, the credits you earn while on another team do not (and should not IMO) transfer when you transfer teams.

That is correct.....whatever credits you earn for a team stay with them if you leave.....
And yes, that is the way it should be.

Anybody able to add to or top Seti USA's fine bid?

EDIT......
And it just occurred to me that I should be specific about ending time on the auction, should there be a flurry of last minute activity........
Might as well use Seti's UTC time as a reference, since all of our posts here are time stamped with it.
Bidding is over at the end of this coming Saturday, the 12th, at 24:00 UTC
