Message 735045 - Posted: 5 Apr 2008, 22:16:07 UTC - in response to Message 735024.

Have gun, will travel says the card of a man.

A knight without armor in a savage land.

Paladin, paladin, where will you roam?

Where my muse takes me........
Unless I have a good offer.....LOL.

Nice quote, my dear......
From whence does it come?

TV show starring Richard Boone, Have Gun Will Travel, from 1957 but I remember seeing reruns when I was a kid.

Ahh,,,'57.....a good year. I was born then.......

'60 here, I liked shows like The Wild Wild West(Robert Conrad & Ross Martin), the Rifleman(Chuck Conners), Gunsmoke(James Arness, Dennis Weaver, Amanda Blake) and of course StarTrek(what else). Still It's the weekend and I suspect people are out doing something or working, Unlike US Geeks with nothing better to do other than watch the PCs and/or StarWars(It's on Spike TV now). JarJar Binks kills Me, "Exsqueeze Me". LOL

Dagnabit......your list of old TV shows ran right thru me like a bullet.....
I remember watching them all.......

That's cuz I'm a straight shooter and I rarely miss. ;)

oooooohhh. just tried to get some sleep and had a bad dream........

Just remembered the summer I spent changing electric meters for a local utility........
And the one day I made a slight mistake........
Got a little too lazy when putting on the jumper cables across the meter one day...........
One leg caught the other......and BRAAPPPPPP.....was quite a light show.....
I will never forget the sound..........this resounding ZAPPPPP and low gutteral buzz that resounded throughout the neighborhood...kinda like a cannon shot.......I woke up to hear it's echos.....
My face shield was adorned with little coppery bits.....
480 direct from the main transformer on the pole has a lot of cajones.......let me tall ya, brother.
Kerzapp. Changing power meters live was not a task to take lightly.........

oh crap....
Another attempt at sleep.....another nightmare.......
This one centered around me trying to outrun the cops in my '67 Pontiac Lemans........
Almost made it.......
The dog was really hot......was a drag racing chassis before I bought it......the guy slightly detuned it before I bought it from him........but not much......had a 500plus plant, and just would not quit winding.....the estimate I had was 450 plus horsepower........
The police were not too amused that night.......
Had my face introduced to the pavement.......

Glad You survived It, As to the Frogs, Some have expressed the opinion that they aren't interested in this auction, Even if It is for Seti and all, But they wouldn't mind If You joined and they also wouldn't mind if other Frogs bid, So I'm not going to push It there anymore. Of course at least I'm not a Sith known as Palpatine. ;) In any case Good Luck and may the dark side of the farce be with You.

LOL...no, the farm stays in the kitties' posession........
Just the RAC will transfer to the high team bidder.........

One thing I have not seen -

How long will the farm remain with the highest bidding team ???

And if "future donations" are accepted, how do you account for those.

I could promise $10,000 over the next 12 months.

I will add $50 for seti.usa

Well I had a Pontiac LeMans, But It was no horsepower type car, It was made in Korea, Mirrors vibrated all the time, Except when the engine was off and the car wasn't moving. No I'm satisfied with the Mustang GT of mine, And It's Green too(in color).

And then there was the '69 Buick Grand Sport......
Far faster, and deadlier.......400 cube motor, but put out more than 500 hp at the hubs..........verified........
Jumpin' Jiminy Christmas.........had a rock crusher tranny with a Hurst shifter......I sure do miss those cars.........
Won a lotta bets saying I could not do 0 to 60 in 16 secs or less without using the clutch..........no problem, biatch.......got it covered......
Start the sucker in first gear, and the rest was just candy....
That Hurst shifter just melted from one gear to the next if ya hit the shift points right........
