I can duplicate this 'Crash' by ...

Shut down and restart.
Start Boinc.
Wait for Boinc to stabilize.
Use the mouse to start the 'Screen Saver' using an 'Active Screen Corners'
Within a few minutes Boinc 'Crashes'.

Console 'System Log' Crash Report. Computer Name Removed.

1) Every time I start Boinc, this shows up in the 'Console System Log'.
DATE TIME [0x0-0x(some numbers)].edu.berkeley.boinc[131]: Using wxWidgets 2.8.7. Is there a Widget? What does it do and where can I find it?

2) WHY DOES BOINC WANT AN INTERNET CONNECTION TO WWW.GOOGLE.COM ON PORT 80? I NEED TO KNOW OR IT'S BYE BYE FOR ME.

Does the WUs also crash, or do you get some valid results ?
If the SETI Application crashs, please post the output from the stderr from the SETI website of the affected system.

Which BOINC client version do you use ?

The request at port 80 to google.com is a http request, which is only used for verify, if your network connection to the internet is OK.

wxWidgets is a toolset for writing platform indipendent GUI programms, like the BOINC manager.
