I am trying so hard to attach my seti for my ps3. I tried
./boinc_client --attach_projecthttp://setiathome.berkeley.edu/ myaccount key I keep on getting invalid or missing account id. Is there anyway I can attach using my email and password.
Thanks

With "boinc_cmd --lookup_account URL email password" you can get the account key.

You have also install the SETI PS3 application manualy. Please look at this thread : http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=39910

Hard to say, why the client hang. Could you please try to upgrade to a recent version of the BOINC client. At www.dotsch.de/boinc and www.psgrid.org are recent BOINC clients for the PS3 avialable.
