Does anyone know of a group that uses people's idle time of their personal computers to help find a cure for type 1 or type 2 diabetes? I know there is a group that is doing this to research a cure for cancer and I think I've heard alzhiemer's disease too but I'd really be interested in using my pc's idle time to help find a cure for a disease that I not only suffer with and also runs in my family along with several members of my church too. |

I don't know of any distributed computer programs but I have seen that good advice for diabetics (and the rest of the population, too) is to eat healthful foods, exercise and keep the weight down. These care items can be verified in the newspaper, health literature and, of course, the Internet. |

I don't think that there are currently any projects like this, but you may try The unofficial boinc wiki |
