I'm running 2000 Server and I want to avoid having to hit 'return' at the logon screen everytime the machine reboots. I have multiple machines at different locations, so this is a problem. Will installing BOINC as a service eliminate this? I tried doing this on one install, but was unable to tell if it was running or not without logging on. I guess I could have waited a couple of hours to see if the task progress had progressed, but too impatient. Bill ID: 714878 ·  |

I run three stand-alone machines this way and my file server. Downloading and reporting work is not an issue either. ID: 714896 · |

In addition, you might want to try running BOINCView to allow you to do remote control of your farm.   BOINC WIKI ID: 716102 · |
