It's been "Temporarily" failing to download new work for the past 11 hours or so. Since I'm able to view this page & post, I guess the problem has something to do with BOINC or the SETI client. A different workstation on the same LAN is communicating OK with other BOINC projects, but it isn't running SETI and I'm completely stumped. Some of the error messages:

I guess I'll just set the BOINC client to keep a bit more work in the pipe, in case of periodic problems contacting servers. Any recommendations about how much is a good amount of work to keep my processor busy, without risking missing deadlines?

PS/FYI
The BBcode guide is slightly wrong; it shows 'quoted' as the way to close the 'quote' tag. I thought it was weird, but copied the SETI@home BBcode guide verbatim because it's the guide. Unfortunately, I was right and the guide was wrong. Sorry about the repetition and also for the redundancy.
