Josh That has been talked about, the primary concern was SPAM. What you can do is google for listserv as the are some companys that will do small listserv's fairly inexpensively. The other option is to capture all of the email addresses and devided the list into groups of ten to twenty names and then use the email software to do a small group name (with the listed names) to send to everyone. Hope that gives you a start for ideas. Regards Please consider a Donation to the Seti Project. |

I wish there was a function where I could email my entire group. Copy and paste each email takes forever! SO do I, Josh, so do I. Unfortunately, the same 2 people keep popping up when ever /where ever this is discussed and yell and scream about spam. {SIGH} Seems the fears of a few outweigh the wants of the many. Thanks for the response. I searched around the message boards, but didn't see any post about emails. I understand about the SPAM potential hazzard, but team ownership comes with responsibilites. If a team owner becomes childish and SPAMs, I'm sure the members would leave the team. I have over 500 members in my group. Basically, I would like to do what SETI does to me once a year about donations (except I wouldn't ask for donations....I would ask for inactive members to consider coming back to SETI and crunching data). In the past, I would email members when the group consist of about 50 to 100, but now it would eat up too much of my time to copy and paste emails. I will check out some programs. A good parser program would work great. Search for the '@' symbol, the scan left until white space and scan right until white space. hmmmmm, if only I had the time. :) Have a good day. Josh |

Just reply to one of those spam emails, and ask them how they do it! : ) Crunching SETI@Home as a member of the Whirlpool BOINC Teams |

Actually, the idea of a SPAM problem is a bit overblown. If a team member objects to too much SPAM from one team, there are always other teams... BOINC WIKI |
