The newest release won't minimize on launch, kinda annoying
to have to close it down everytime I restart the machine.

I'm running WinXP with SP2
Didn't have this problem until I updated to 4.09

Any takers on whats up with my BOINC?

No problem with minimized after reboot.
In fact, i don't think i can do anything to make it behave differently.

Are you using the -min option? The line in the startup shortcut should look similar to:

"C:Program FilesBOINCboinc_gui.exe" -min

Edit: I really like the way these message boards strip out the backslash :-)

I've been with Boinc since v3.x. As far as I remember, using Boinc GUI, it has always start up in a non minimized window.

If you are using the GUI interfrace, you can change the shortcut to ...\BOINC\boinc_gui.exe -min. (adding a space a minus sign and the word min).

Thanks for the information on the -min
Just wierd as I've never needed it before..
And it has always worked before 4.09
But hey.. As long as it works I'm happy

Cheers

The good news is that we can blame all these things on SP2!

The game High/Low is played by tossing two nuclear warheads into the air. The one whose bomb explodes higher wins. This game is usually played by people of low intelligence, hence the name High/Low.
