Message 701992 - Posted: 20 Jan 2008, 17:44:35 UTC - in response to Message 701919.

Here is Dennis being very serious in his role as a seti mod.

I am absolutely devastated and shocked at the news of his death....

That was probably one of my posts he was modding. :)
Glad we made amends.
The strange thing is, on Christmas morning, I kept accidentally pressing "Dogbytes" instead of "Dad" when I was trying to call my Dad on Skype. Maybe I should have let it keep ringing. We might have known sooner that something was wrong.
Capitalize on this good fortune, one word can bring you round ... changes.

Don't blame yourself. There was no way you could have known what had happened.

Dogbytes Forever

Dennis was a man who knew how to be human and how to share his unique view on life.

I spoke to him once on the phone. He had a warm and friendly way of being and was one of those people who made you feel immediately at ease.

I'll miss him because he often stopped us in our tracks and then some how made us sparkle with his very own sense of humour..

I'm posting this on behalf of nevermorestr...

nevermorestr: "I don't know what to say.

...

I'm glad that he was able to find "family", though not by blood relation but by those who will cherish the memories of him. It is good to know that he made a positive impact on so many people's lives. I think that is more notable than a plaque on a building's cornerstone any day."

Just passing through to express my condolences on hearing the sad news about the loss of our friend "Dogbytes" I am extremely saddened to hear the news and I find it difficult to comment further on some of the kind and affectionate words said by those before me other than "Dennis, may you now find the peace that evaded you recently and don't give Rocky too much of a hard time"...

"I will always remember you!"

Your grumpy old friend from Scotland

Now that I crunched one last WU here I can as well give my condolences to all his friends and family.

Feel free to join the Team For Dennis Peters aka DogBytes at malariacontrol in memoriam to this fine person and crunch some WUs for him.

It was really a sad day, that 21. December last year.

The dog will be missed :(

This guy was one of the first people I noticed on here, a few years ago. I know I do not have much credit, my account was messed up but I have been around. R.I.P. sad I did not get to talk with him. G
