Hi Adrian! Sounds spot-on to me - thanks for posting this! There are a few minor typos, otherwise all is well. For completeness, I would suggest to place all files that are part of Alex' distribution (i.e. not only the science app and the app_info.xml-file, but also all the readmes, etc.) into the location you mention. That's largely academic, though, and has no impact on functionality...

i considered this when i wrote it, i think you are probably right as the docs should be with the optimised apps..

Don't know if you think it is worth noting in your instruction listing as a note. The "Mac error -5000" shown (usually twice) in the Messages page of BOINC Manager when using the G5 optimization, is a known incorrect message. Alex Kan is aware of this and it will be rectified when the next batch of updates is released for all of Mac versions.
