I just switched over to BOINC and noticed that it is using the same command line version as the classic version.

I have also noticed that the B icon in the sys tray shows a flashing blue symbol every once in a while. What does this mean?

I am using Windows XP Pro.

It's just a coincedince that the version numbers are the same. It won't be too long before the seti app is changed though. The screensaver is not displaying the text in the heads-up mode is the most obvious example.

Thanks for that FAQ site too. Everything I need to know about BOINC.

Plus, even though the author's screenshots of the icons refuse to reveal themselves, there are verbal descriptions of the symbols.
