I now have seti setup on my unix box at home to help contribute. This was done via the command line because it is a file server. I also have a buisness server that is unix that I would like to use also... But, I would like to set different preferences for this machine(cpu usage, process's). How do you do this??? In the xml files and then run the boinc_cmd update? Any and all help is appriceated. Dan |

Probably the easiest way would be to add separate 'work' preferences, via your SETI account page, for this machine. Log into your SETI account > Preferences > When and how BOINC uses your computer > Computing preferences > Add separate preferences for work Once your adjusted work preferences are added, select the target computer from your list. Go to its summary and change the location from 'home' to 'work' (don't forget to click 'update'). The next time the target computer contacts SETI, it should switch to its new settings. |

I was in my accounts and preferences looking to see if it could be done there. I missed the ability of changing where the computer was located in that list. Very much appriceated... Dan |
