Hi John and everyone, Thanks for your thoughts and prayers,
The Trip was a little snarly up and back, I felt it was a waste of time
because we cam back with no real answers for Mirra's problems, Long story..

I have not been at the Hospital there for almost 5 years and when I left
the construction was in full swing 320 Mill addition, so it was nice to see the final product, The really neet part of the trip was I ran into an old co-worker
it was great to see him, The old feelings for my Job came flooding back, I really loved my job, It was on of the best I ever had, Then I got sick and couldn't return, so to see Harry was so nice he is just as funny now as then...

When we got home Indy was still blind, but was happy to know we were home
I called the Vets today to get some answers and Help for Indy, If I can save I will but it depends on Money (That is so frigging sad}, If he is suffering then I will send him to rainbow bridge:-(

We are tropical compared to you guys. Just getting very damp, and some flood areas, again, over here.

It never rains, but it pours...

Our house roof didn't keep out the rain in the Queen's birthday storm in June of last year. The insurance people took an age to react, and we have only just got started on replacing the roof.
TODAY, the front half of the house was done, with SOME flashing, and NO ridge capping.
TONIGHT, someone "up there" decided it was a clever idea to chuck a couple of inches of rain down in an hour.
Luckily, we only got a dribble of water in the office, just above my PC, which I caught in a bucket.
The front drive was another story, with leaves and twigs piling up, blocking the drainage. I used a hammer to bash a hole in a zincalume fence, to aid drainage, but the head flew off the hammer. The handle of our new yard broom snapped when I was trying to sweep accumulated water from in front of the garage.
Ya gotta larf!

Message 700435 - Posted: 16 Jan 2008, 9:58:56 UTC - in response to Message 700012.

I made my previous post without reading back through the thread.

Tim, I know how heartbreaking it is, and I really wish I had some words of comfort that sound sincere. I feel for you. And for Indy.

I just hope the specialist helps your Daughter with whatever is ailing her, and you have a reason to smile.

lgm

Some good news, some sad news and some bad news, The Good news is we didn't get the Big snowstorm that was predicted, The the sad news is I have to drive 150 miles to take my daughter to a children's specialist in Northern VT. then drive back home tonight.

The bad news :-( My best buddy Indy the golden wonder dog is fading, He has some sort of lymph cancer and yesterday he went pretty much blind. He still gets excited and is loving, he is not in any pain but I know the inevitable will be soon. He has been such a great companion and has helped me through some pretty tough times.

Thats the long and short of it, Go to go for now.....

Tim

Tim,

When I read your latest news I just had to break my self imposed exile to send you my warmest wishes at this sad time. Thinking of you.

Chris

Thank you LGM and Chris, Mirra and I will get through the health problems
I am not sure about Indy, It breaks my heart to see him struggle but so far he
is still eating and stuff, and I don't think he is in any pain, just confused
as to why he cant see anything...:-(

Tim

I lost my boy Shih-Tzu, Sammy, on New Years Eve. He was blind and had been fighting hip cancer for 2 years.

He was getting around the house fine, despite blindness, and ate heartily. It was on his last day he started not to keep anything doen. That was the decision day for us.

We are still breaking up treats for 6 and not 5 dogs still.

We are very much in sympathy with you on Indy's dilema.

Best f wishes, and for you and Mirra

Update:

I took Indy to the Vets this morning and Indy is suffering Stage IV canine lymphoma;

"all peripheral lymph nodes plus the spleen, liver, and/or anterior mediastinum in the chest involved"

He is still Indy with his Great personality, confused because he is blind
but overall comfortable and not in any pain ATM, The Dr. gave me prednisone
to see if it lessens his symptoms a little bit, all in all I must accept that I will have to send Indy to rainbow Bridge sooner that later, in the next few weeks.

I will not let him suffer if he even hints at it, I will let him sleep.

:-( Sad but feel lucky that Indy has been in my Life..

Thank you all for your Thoughts and comments to me....

Sorry to hear the news Tim...

A friend of my wife's just had to put their English Bulldog down. He developed a heart condition very quickly that just sapped his energy.

Hey Tim,

Sorry to hear about Indy, I know he's an old dog. I know he's had a wonderful life with you, and that you both have shared a lot of great times together. I know it will be hard when it comes his time. I've had lots of animals and they are all family. Its hard to lose any part of the family.

How is your daughter? Any more trips to doctors in the coming future anytime soon? I got a trip to Sacramento coming up on Feb 13th for my little one. Get to have some chats with the doctors about her leg some more.

Anyhow, off to enjoy some time with my family, and share some thoughts. Be safe each and every one of you, and remember, there is someone out there who cares.
