On signing up, I was disappointed to find that my country - Isle of Man - was not listed.

We are a self-governing dependency of the British Crown, part of Great Britain,
but not part of the United Kingdom.

I am fascinated to note that - sometimes - Jersey and/or Guernsey are listed,
both of which are in exactly the same constitutional position.

We really do exist, and our radio emissions may soon be detected by aliens.

How embarrassing it would be if aliens sent a message saying they'd picked up
a signal from the Isle of Man and someone from Berkeley sent back a message saying, "Where's that?".

(Come to think of it, that's a joke, isn't it?)

Been asked a few times on these boards. The common answer seems to be to make a request to David Anderson via email to davea at ssl dot berkeley dot edu.

One thing to note, and I'm not sure how facetious you were trying to be, but two way communication with another alien civilization, given how far away they probably are, is not feasible.

I was joking about the Isle of Man query, of course, and I know that a
two-way communication with aliens would be difficult, given the great
distance, although if they were within 5 light-years it could be done.

Almost every time I sign up to something I can't find "Isle of Man" listed
and am fed up with having to select United Kingdom, which is a lie as we
are not part of that.

Changeset [trac]changeset:14480[/trac] says "- added Isle of Man to country list".

David updated Seti already, it's now available in the country list here.
So go to your account, edit other account info and pick it out of the country drop down list.
