One other thing I noted, was that the bits in and bits out graphs seem to be reflections of one other. Increases in bits in seem to translate into decreases in bits out. And whatever changes in 'bits in' seem to effect the bits going out roughly by a factor of 2. Under full-load conditions, that is.


Being unable to sleep (4 AM), I have been monitoring the 2_3 graph, and testing my "theory" on bits in/out relation. And so far there actually seems to be a connection with the bitrates.

Out = 74,7 - In * 1,75

Seems to produce quite accurate predictions for outbound traffic. So far the accuracy has been +- 2.0 Mb/s. By fine tuning the constant values, it would be possible to improve the accuracy up to 1,9, but I'm not going to do that with so limited amount of data.

It was much easier when we all used SETI@home Classic.
